What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clamp operator position at PrideStaff?
PrideStaff is working with a warehouse located in Morrow, GA, looking to hire a Roll Clamp Operator.
Job Requirements :
- Operates Roll Clamp for shipping, order selection, receiving, put away / replenish to and from storage racks
- Hand stacks unpalletized goods for efficient use of trailer space.
- Maximize cube space and distributes weight evenly over trailer axles
- Secure goods on pallets with shrink wrap and labels for shipping
- Verify that the pallets being used are to company standard
- Inform managers of any discrepancies or problems
- Monitor power equipment and conducts daily inspections
- Exchange and inspect power equipment batteries
- Clean up and clear work area of any debris or trip hazards
- Follows safety procedures
Required Qualifications :
- Able to sufficiently read and comprehend freight instructions
- Basic mathematical skills
- Able to lift weights of up to 50 pounds on a continual basis
- Able to walk or stand for shifts four to eight hours, with appropriate breaks
- At least 1 year of prior safe Forklift Operating experience Pay and Hours :
- $16.00 / hr
