POSITION SUMMARY The Safety Coordinator provides support to the Safety Department by the support of and monitoring site-specific health, safety, and environmental operations and tasks assigned to the job site.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Educate employees on safety standards and expectations as well as safe machinery operation.
· Schedule and provide job specific safety training.
· Maintain safety training matrix and training schedule.
· Investigate accidents / incidents that occur onsite and identify root cause by root cause analysis.
· Provide First Aid / CPR when necessary.
· Communicate with Safety and WC Management team to identify correct course of action and appropriate treatment plan based on injury and severity.
· Review and monitor work status of injured employees to identify appropriate accommodations.
· Oversee onsite COVID-19 screening process.
· Intervene in unsafe activities or operations.
· Conduct safety inspections and safety observation reports on a regular basis. Fire extinguisher, eyewash station, spill kit, emergency lighting, body harness.
· Organize and conduct OSHA compliant trainings. Such as First Aid/Forklift Certification.
· Maintain current understanding of OSHA compliance.
· Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues, root cause, and corrective actions.
· Track Key Performing Indicators (KPI’s).
· Assist with the implementation of safety plans while ensuring that they are being followed consistently.
· Assist in JSA/JHA’s.
· Identify needs for PPE and safety equipment.
· Maintain current SDS’s.
· Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
· Associates Degree in Business Administration or relevant field of choice.
· A minimum of 1-year transferrable work experience.
· Experience and other training or certification may be substituted for education.
· Valid Driver’s License.
Language
· Bilingual in English and Spanish

· Ability to lead and supervise others.

· Knowledge of farm labor and fruit packing operations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to a typical office environment prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. However, the employee is expected to travel to the different locations (within 50 miles radius distance from primary location) to interact with employees in multiple processes (e.g., onboarding, training, etc.).
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays; this is critical to support the needs of the business and is subject to change.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
