Job Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing receiving, intercompany transfers, picking/packing, and ordering shipments within the Dry Warehouse, Cold Warehouse, and offsite storage facilities. Communicates with the Manager on operational issues. Makes decisions regarding placement of employees to meet production goals and coordinates and oversees production within the department. Supervises hourly employees to meet or exceed production standards. Assigns work and may issue disciplinary actions to hourly employees. Team projects or other assignments as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager.
Pay Range
Pay $68,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provides leadership to employees during day-to-day activities.
- Assign jobs, positions, projects, and tasks to employees as necessary.
- Address and resolve employee disputes and relations issues.
- Monitors and ensures all warehouse activities such as goods in and out, storing, and shipping are done in a timely basis with minimal errors.
- Management of the workforce identifies training needs through regular performance evaluations.
- Reviews and approves hourly timecards to ensure complete accuracy of time clock punches. Addresses issues with employees including missing punches, long meal breaks, etc.
- Receive raw materials, WIPs, or packaging materials from the respective vendors, departments or staging areas in compliance with the department’s procedures for receiving and returning materials.
- Keep proper inventory of the material received for inventory accuracy and quality control.
- Order all supplies for the department and consistently maintain inventory for all items.
- Manage shorts for incoming and outgoing materials and shipments.
- Checking and Updating Exova/JL Analytical reports
- Orders necessary items for Warehouse as needed.
- Maintains relationships with vendors and shipping companies in order to track all deliveries and pickups.
- Inspect Power Industrial Truck (PIT) before usage, and keep equipment, tools, and company property neat and clean. Change and charge PIT batteries as needed.
- Train personnel on safety awareness, departmental policies, operation of relevant equipment, good manufacturing practices, warehouse standards, proper sanitation, correct documentation, and overall Company standard operating procedures.
- Oversee departmental overtime and cost control to meet company standards.
- Complete documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policies.
- Initiate good housekeeping practices by implementing cleaning tasks throughout the work area, and organizing the workspace.
- Proactively address potential safety issues or problems.
- Responsible for the safe operation of the equipment according to established standard operating procedures and safety policies.
- Works closely with Management to ensure that product is consistent with and meets the specifications set by the Company.
- Complying with GMPs, HACCP, and other Food Safety, quality, and security guidelines and strictly adhering to all Company specifications.
- Reporting all malfunctions of equipment immediately to management and communicating the level of urgency for the items to be fixed
- Recognizing problems in production, reacting quickly, and offering immediate solutions
- Monitoring the recording of all information on production paperwork
- Filling the demands of day-to-day operations by stepping in and filling in for different roles when needed and completing other tasks as assigned
- Create a positive work environment and reward superior performance. Reports and documents violations of policies.
- Punctual and Regular Attendance Required

Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or GED required. BA/BS in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years in a supervisory capacity in a Warehouse/ Food manufacturing environment, minimum 2 years experience with RF scanners.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong leadership skills, with an ability to build trust, provide direction, and vitality to execute with excellence and achieve extraordinary results.
- Ability to prioritize and follow through to achieve results and meet deadlines to meet the needs of the business.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written, and strong managerial skills including good judgment, planning, organizing, innovative approach to problem-solving, motivate employees.
- Knowledge of OSHA Standards, USDA, HACCP, and EPA Regulations.
- Manufacturing knowledge and understanding of yields, plant efficiencies, and operations procedures.
- Intermediate knowledge of ERP systems, ERP implementation
- Forklift and PIT equipment experience required.
