Processing Manager

Position purpose - Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

The purpose of this position is to oversee the day-to-day operations of processing policies and procedures, including training and maintaining process mortgage loan files effectively and efficiently.

• Prepares mortgage loan file by reviewing loan application and clarifying or obtaining additional information when necessary
• Reviews the entire loan for accuracy, credit worthiness, and compliance
• Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
• Reviews pipeline with processors to ensure timely movement of pipelines and fulfillment of conditions
• Maintains communication with loan officers, clients, fellow employees, closers, and company personnel to ensure deadlines are met

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening)
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to effectively and professionally handle difficult situations that may arise when working with branches/divisions
• Ability to multi-task
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Familiarity with Accounting terms and procedures (e.g. debits, credits, General Ledgers, etc.)
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills

Preferences

• 5 years of mortgage processing experience
• Management experience

Work Requirements

Each employee must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, utilize a computer, maintain a work schedule, and effectively perform in an office setting. Employment with PRMI requires compliance with and adherence to all applicable mortgage and fair lending laws and regulations as well as PRMI policies. The ability to work extended hours may be required.
