Responsibilities
- Transports raw materials and semi-finished products or supplies between departments or buildings to supply machine tenders or operators with materials for processing.
- Arranges boxes, material, and hand trucks or other industrial equipment in neat and orderly manner.
- Cleans lint, dust, oil, and grease from machines, overhead pipes, and conveyors.
- Cleans screens and filters.
- Cleans floors and applies floor drier.
- Picks up reusable scrap for salvage and stores in containers.
- Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
- Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
- Dusts furniture and equipment.
- Polishes metalwork.
- Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
- Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
- Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays.
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Replenishes bathroom supplies.
- Replaces light bulbs.
- Operates industrial truck to transport materials within plant.
- Starts pumps to force cleaning solution through production machinery, piping, or vats.
- Starts pumps to lubricate machines.
- Performs jumpstarts.
- Provides customer service assistance as necessary.
- May maneuver self-propelled floor scrubber.
- Jump start truck batteries.
- Applicant must be able to lift and carry 60lbs and also push 45lbs, and pull 55lbs.
- Must provide excellent customer service as necessary.
- Performs related work assigned by supervisor as required.
Current available shift:
Sunday through Wednesday, every other Wednesday off: 4:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Qualifications
Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Knowledge
Industrial cleaning experience is a plus.
Abilities
Must have a strong work history. Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights and weekends required.
Experience, Education, and Training
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements
This position requires constant standing, walking, forward reaching and grasping; frequent head turning, bending, side reaching and foot/pedal control. Candidate must be able to lift and carry 60lbs, push 45lbs, and pull 55lbs. Steel toed footwear, and safety glasses, and ear protection are required in the shop.
Working Environment
Both indoor and outdoor working environment with exposure to varying weather conditions and chemical odors.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)PRIME will provide protective equipment (“PPE”) as necessary to its associates in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.132(a). PRIME provides safe working conditions that are fully compliant with all applicable OSHA workplace regulations as it respects an associate’s exposure to chemical, mechanical, or other potential workplace hazards or impairing conditions that could compromise the integrity of the associate’s well-being, to include eyes, extremities, face, head, or respiratory system. PRIME associates must fully adhere to all PRIME PPE policies at all times. Any PRIME associate, who refuses to fully abide by these mandatory PPE policies, and related safety measures, may be subject to the appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including termination. All required personal protective equipment will be provided by PRIME to each associate at no cost to the associate.
Miscellaneous Requirements
Candidate must be able to pass a job specific post-offer physical prior to beginning employment with Prime, Inc. Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
