Lafayette - Job Description
Position Summary:
As a Process Operator in our Lafayette South Plant (formerly known as Tate & Lyle) you will be responsible for the safe operation, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting of a highly automated, state of the art system that produces distinctive, high quality ingredients and solutions to the food, beverage, and other industries.
Through our large-scale, efficient manufacturing plants, you will use innovative technology to turn raw materials into distinctive, high quality ingredients for our customers. These ingredients add taste, texture, nutrition and increased functionality to products that millions of people around the world use or consume every day.
Your schedule will consist of 12hr shifts with 3-day fast days to nights rotation. Time worked after 8 hours in a day is paid at time and a half.
Compensation is based on a Skill Block pay-for-knowledge system with starting pay @ $ 33.97/hr and progression to $38.27/hr within first 120 days. There are further opportunities to advance pay upwards of $48.65/hr.
Required Capabilities:
Education & Work Experience:
Associates degree or higher preferred with minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
Three to five years related experience and/or training preferred.
Must be able to demonstrate basic mathematics, reading comprehension, and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures, climb stairs, climb ladders, lift & carry 55 lbs, and perform other physical duties.
- Knowledge of pumps, compressors, boilers, reactors, centrifuges, filtration and/or evaporation systems a plus.
- Ability to work a 12-hour days to nights rotating shift schedule in a 365/24/7 operation with the flexibility to work alternate schedules and overtime.
