About the Position:
This is full-performance professional and analytical work involving planned and systematic processes that assure compliance with the County’s Contracts, Procurement, and grant management policies and procedures. This position provides specific and general recommendations on how to achieve designated goals with complying with applicant contracts, grants, and other regulatory requirements. Work is performed and evaluated in terms of analytical ability, accuracy, efficiency, completeness, and adherence to policies and procedures under the general supervision of the Fiscal Administration & Compliance Division Manager.What You'll Do:
- Collects analyzes and evaluates data to enforce and monitor grant management activities related to energy and sustainability activities.
- Prepares grant management and energy reports pursuant to reporting requirements and collaborates with other stakeholders to capture necessary data.
- Ensure the invoicing process complies with SAP and county government standards.
- Process and approve all energy grant applications and ensure compliance with permits, codes, and other regulations.
- Collect, analyze and develop annual reports demonstrating Sustainable Energy's success and for compliance filing with state and local agencies.
- Develop and manage the implementation of various tools to efficiently retrieve and process compliance data.
- This includes developing and managing an online grant application portal, dashboard, and other software applications.
- Drafts and or revises energy policies and operating procedures annually.
- Develop processes and procedures to increase local business knowledge and awareness of opportunities in the energy sector. -Provides technical support or referral services to businesses.
- Monitor, review, and comment on the county and state supplier diversity requirements.
- Interacts professionally and efficiently with internal and external customers.
- Handles complaints and problems diplomatically, displaying excellent customer service at all times.
- Perform site visits to ensure grant compliance.
- Willingly perform other tasks and duties assigned, which may not be specifically listed in the position description; however, are within the general, occupational category and responsibility level typically associated with the employee's class of work.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Acquisition and Contract Management, Statistics/Mathematics, or closely related field.
- One (1) year of professional experience testing, implementing test plans, enforcing policies, and performing quality control activities in the area of grant management, compliance, environmental protection, and/or energy management.

DURATION OF ELIGIBILITY: Candidates will be selected from a temporary register of eligible candidates, which will become effective approximately four (4) weeks after the closing date. Once a selection has been made, the register will expire.
