Responsibilities:
As a Manager of our Nonqualified Investment team you'll lead and mentor a team of specialists supporting the financing and investment needs for Principal’s Nonqualified retirement plans.. You'll lead a group of cross-functional individuals with the goal of supporting, growing and retaining clients while mitigating risk and driving efficiency!
We are looking for a strong leader with the ability to lead through change and be an effective change agent for our department. The Investment Team Manager will help to ensure high quality, efficient, and prompt services meeting internal and external customer expectations.
Your day will be filled with:

Developing relationships with multiple internal and external partners to ensure client service standards are met; partnering with other leaders.

Motivating, developing, coaching, and cross training staff to meet team strategies in an efficient manner.

Managing growth, retention, satisfaction and profitability of team's relationships, assets and plans and gather feedback on innovative solutions needed to maintain market position.

Assisting in identifying, setting and achieving metrics around efficiency, execution, staffing, documentation of process and other operational needs.

Resolving, owning and executing on escalated situations or issues of a critical and sensitive nature.

Participating in high level initiatives, related activities and other projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, plus 5 years related work experience required. (NQ experience preferred.)

Excellent leadership, problem solving, operational, training, communication, organization, interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Proven knowledge of retirement industry and company projects preferred.

This position requires registration as a General Securities Representative (Series 7) or Investment Company and Variable Contracts Representative (Series 6) and Operations Professional. Candidates hired without the appropriate registration(s) will have twelve months to acquire it.

Overnight travel may be required
Salary Range Information: Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range: $73100 - $142800 / year Additional Information:
