If you’re looking for a unique opportunity that lies within the familiar territory of RFP writing, this may be the job for you! In this Proposal Content Editor role, you’ll specialize, and be able to hone your skills, in the content side of RFP writing.
We are looking for someone who has great writing skills, a keen eye for detail, and who is experienced in the financial industry to join our team and help make an impact!
Responsibilities include managing a portion of our content library by organizing, maintaining and updating all content on a consistent and adhoc basis while ensuring content meets branding guidelines.- Work with SMEs to craft new content for inclusion in RFPs, DDQs and Consultant Database requests with a goal to ultimately craft new content independently.
- Peer review and track all RFPs and DDQs across the team to ensure accuracy and clarity is articulated in all RFP, RFI, DDQ and Consultant Database responses.
- Create and update a suite of Sample RFPs to articulate Principal Global Investors’ products accurately for use with clients and consultants.
- Liaise with investment teams, compliance, and other SMEs around the organization to ensure accuracy of responses.
- May be required to aid in the completion of RFPs or DDQs as capacity ebbs and flows.
- Be self-driven and able to meet your own and others deadlines within a team of strong collaborative culture.
- Organize and efficiently manage workload. Effectively communicate updates on progress to appropriate parties.
- Perform other job-related duties or special projects as required.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required plus 2-5 years relevant experience in the financial industry
- Previous experience in a RFP, marketing, or sales capacity, preferably within a financial services or asset management company, desired
- Strong project management, interpersonal, organizational and written and verbal communications skills required
- Good understanding of asset management and knowledge of (or ability to learn) Principal Global Investors product offerings and markets required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
- Ability to learn systems and applications/databases used within the firm required
- APMP certification would be a plus but not a requirement
- FINRA Series 7 and 66 or FINRA Series 7, 24, and 66 examinations are a plus but not a requirement
- Success in this position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to handle a large volume of requests and multiple projects at the same time while meeting deadlines
- The incumbent should be able to learn quickly and adapt to a constant changing of priorities in fast paced and high-pressure environment
- The incumbent should be able to use critical thinking and build from knowledge and experience learned daily
- Additionally, the incumbent should be able to work well in a team environment
