Sr Software Engineer I (Remote)

Responsibilities

 

Our Enablement Technology team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer I to partner closely with our financial business partners to improve and modernize our technologies. This Software Engineer will have ownership of execution and a lot of flexibility determining technical implementation and design of the modernization efforts.  We are in the process of not only modernizing our applications but migrating our on-prem solutions to the cloud and you would be directly involved in both initiatives! You’ll help drive this department’s goal to be 100% in the cloud.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Learn and grow with the team as we seek to implement new technologies and practices, build in security and monitoring from the start, improve our coding practices, provide scale and performance capabilities, and evolve our engineering culture
• Problem-solve, innovate, design, and deliver technology solutions to solve complex contact center requirements that drive business outcomes
• Experiment, learn and keep up with new technologies and practices to stay ahead of the competition and employ data-driven, positive disruption strategies to bring these to life
• Implement solutions to expand our business functions (development, configuration, security, integration, cloud/SaaS, vendor interaction, etc.)
• Support new and existing applications through development (on-prem and cloud)
• Provide great leadership and help mentor other entry level engineers on the team

Qualifications

 

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree with a preference in a computer science, technology, engineering, or math related field or equivalent work experience
• 6 years of relevant software engineering experience
• Experience and technical leadership in developing, implementing, and supporting applications in multiple object-oriented languages such as JavaScript, and Java
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining applications and services in AWS or other Cloud environments
• Highly successful performance in the competencies of technical abilities, solution design, execution, strategy, communication, and leadership
• Excellent collaborative, planning, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making skills
• Must have the desire to learn new technology and continuously grow

Preferred technical experience:

• Java, Python, Typescript
• AWS, Serverless technologies with AWS
• Distributed technology
• Informal leadership or mentorship experience

 

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range

$87550 - $172800 / year
