What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Technician position at Priority Personnel?
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri/8am-5pm with occasional OT
Pay rate: $14-16/hour
Summary/Objective
This position receives, stores and distributes parts, tools, equipment and products within the Parts department, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. Prepares and ships customer orders and internal transfers. Makes occasional parts deliveries and picks up local parts orders as needed. Assists internal and external customers at the Parts counter as needed. Assists Parts Department Manager with day-to-day supervision of department employees while ensuring paperwork is accurate and routed to the correct department.
Job Duties:
- Assist in receiving, unloading trucks, checking in parts, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to shop techs and customers.
- Read and assemble customer orders, work orders, and shipping orders
- Move materials via forklift and other equipment
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins
- File paperwork for parts, tools or other stock items
- Ensure parts room is accessible and safe for employee and customer traffic.
- Builds pallets, and hoses as needed
- Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
- Keeps accurate track of parts room inventory
- Assist in counting of physical inventory.
- Maintain a clean and orderly environment at all times
- Assists with day-to-day supervision and organization of dept employees
- Performs any other duties as necessary
