Sales Consultant
The Sales Consultant position reports to the Retail Sales Manager and provides expert guidance to customers during the buying, leasing, and trading process of a vehicle transaction.
Sales Consultants with a valid drivers license in good standing, receive a company Demo vehicle assigned to them.
Responsibilities:
- Be present in the dealership from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, and 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Saturdays. Schedules can be adjusted at management’s discretion.
- Walk the lot, including the detail, parts and service departments, and any other locations requested by management.
- Understand where inventory is on the lot and what main features each piece of inventory showcases.
- Schedule all new and used vehicle services as needed when necessary, with the service team.
- Secure two bolt dealer plates on all test drive vehicles and demonstration vehicles using a hand or power drill.
- Complete 100% of the OEM training as given by management or showing management progress in training with a quarterly review.
- This step is required in order to sell or lease any new OEM vehicles.
- This step is required in order to take phone leads on any new OEM vehicles.
- The step is required in order to take lot leads on any new OEM vehicles.
- Be able to pull rebates and inventory from other dealers for locates through the OEM online system.
- Walk to copy machine and make copies of all customer driver licenses for test drives.
- Complete a loaner agreement with all supporting documents if the vehicle is out for four hours or more.
- Expected to greet all individuals that walk in the door with “Welcome to Pritchard’s”
- This includes all dealer trades, truckers, transporters, and customers.
- Walk customers to your desk and assist them personally to handle their transaction.
- Operate the CRM system and enter all customer data prior to seeing management on any transaction.
- Walk around trades and fill out a trade-in appraisal sheet with the customer at their trade in outside.
- Complete a follow up call to all customers, regardless of sale or check out, and ask for referrals.
- Deliver the vehicle with the customer.
- Explain all features of the vehicle and answer any follow up questions.
- Call on previous customers based on CRM at important intervals in the post-purchase time period.
- Enter new customers into the rewards system via internet.
- Introduce customers to management on call.
- Attend daily sales meeting with ideas and questions to ask.
- Always keep loaner vehicle clean, and clean prior to putting back on the lot.
- Champion the Pritchard Companies Core Values.

Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Must be able to retain crucial information that relates to vehicles.
- Must be able to multi-task, handle frequent interruptions, and shift priorities on an as-needed basis.
- Excellent and professional customer service/people skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or the equivalent required.
- Available to work flexible hours
- Ready to hit the ground running on learning new product in’s & out’s
