What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fund Accounting Director position at Private Equity?
Well Established boutique Fund Advisory firm that specializes in Private Equity and Credit Fund space. Smaller team-oriented environment but the backing and stability of their parent company - a large nationally recognized firm.
They are looking to add a Controller/Director to their Fund Accounting team. Someone who is a team player, self-motivated with strong managerial/supervisory experience. We are seeking someone who thrives in a growing environment and provides clients with exceptional service.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supervising training and reviewing the work of a team of Fund Accountants.
- Build and maintain relationships with one or more clients, managing client expectations, and meeting all client deliverables
- Manage and review the daily accounting and financial reporting for private equity funds
- Prepare and review financial statements including but not limited to balance sheet, statement of investments, statement of operations, statement of cash flows
- Prepare and review general ledger and work paper files including capital activity, investment activity, income and expense accruals, etc.
- Create and review partner capital calls, monthly and quarterly partner capital statements including calculation of partner allocations
- Calculate and review waterfall models, distribution notices, and management fees
- Review calculation of quarter end final and estimated NAVs
- Help manage year-end audit process and support external auditors and tax teams with requested financials
Skills/Requirements:
- 7-20 years experience Private Equity or Credit Fund Accounting OR from public accounting with fund clients.
- Accounting Degree required
- CPA is a plus.
- Experience with Yardi or Investran a plus.
The annual base salary range is $150,000 to $200,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
