Position: PV Solar Designer
Location: Onsite – Mahwah, NJ
Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000

We're actively seeking an experienced PV Solar Designer who embodies professionalism, reliability, and unwavering attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine plan sets, electrical 3-line diagrams, and structural designs for PV projects, utilizing advanced tools such as Sketchup.
- Demonstrate mastery of national electrical codes and fire code requirements specific to project jurisdictions.
- Collaborate seamlessly with fellow team members to ensure the punctual delivery of designs that align with project deadlines.
Candidate Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in solar design.
- Residential construction experience is required.
- Proficiency in industry-standard tools like Aurora and PV Watts.
- Mandatory expertise in AutoCAD and Sketchup.
- Thorough understanding of Electric (NEC) and Fire codes is essential.
- Preferred experience in dealing with a diverse range of solar panels and inverters.
- Possession of the NABCEP Associates Photovoltaic Certification is a distinct advantage.
- Knowledge of residential structural techniques is beneficial.
- A keen inclination for critical and innovative thinking, coupled with meticulous attention to detail, is highly esteemed.
- Applicants should exhibit confidence in all facets of solar design, encompassing structural, roofing, mounting, electrical line drawings, NEC, AHJ, and utility requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of prior experience as a PV Designer.
- Previous experience working as a lead installer.
- Required background in electrical.
- Required solar background.
