The Broker Development Associate Role: The Broker Development Associate is a key player supporting the Distribution practice, managing an array of programs, processes, and initiatives that make it possible for PURE and its broker partners to work together in service of the PURE membership. The Broker Development Associate also plays a central role in managing and executing several critical internal and external PURE events. Collaborating with colleagues throughout the organization and across home office departments, this individual has an important voice in the development of innovative new approaches in this critical area of our business. The Vision for PURE’s Distribution Practice is to accelerate the profitable growth of PURE by empowering our broker-facing teams with increased autonomy and accountability. We expect to make faster and smarter decisions and improve the execution of our underwriting, business development, and general producer management strategies. This is a critical role in the Distribution practice; ideal candidates are flexible team players with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. This individual will regularly engage with leaders throughout the organization and make a meaningful, cross-functional impact. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Broker Administration Broker Appointments: Drafting broker agreements, broker code setup, broker technology deployment, Download, form, and records management. Facilitating Merger & Acquisition changes. Troubleshooting as needed. Broker Compensation Administration: Annual incentive program management and record-keeping, periodic standard commission changes. Inquiry Management: Monitoring incoming questions from Brokers and Distribution team and sourcing solutions from across PURE departments. Reporting Assistance: Providing recurring and on-demand support for automated and low complexity reports. Licensing and Compliance Liaison: Working with PURE’s Compliance team to ensure brokers are properly licensed and appointed, with access to PURE systems for conducting business. Troubleshooting as necessary. Playbook Management: Continually evaluate and update all aspects of the broker relationship life cycle and maintain the Broker Management Playbook. Delivering an Exceptional Broker Service Experience: Respond to broker inquiries for assistance as needed, making it easier to do business with PURE. Distribution Practice Support Recurring Meetings: Schedule and facilitate recurring Field meetings. Help create meeting agendas and direct the creation of meeting content, including slide presentations. Special Events: Help execute events such as the PURE Leadership Forum, the PURE Insurance Championship, the CIAB Insurance Leadership Forum, and others. Provide varying levels of support, including managing invitations and RSVPs, developing meeting content and materials, scheduling, and other support, as needed. Administrative Support: Support the Field Operations Presidents and Distribution leadership team with various administrative needs. What we’re looking for: Excellent interpersonal, listening, written, and oral communication skills. Attention to detail and solid problem-solving skills, demonstrating initiative and urgency Creativity, intellectual curiosity, and eagerness to learn High integrity, team spirit, and enthusiasm, ability to work well with others across the organization, and establish trust and credibility with all stakeholders. Agile learner who can quickly absorb information and apply it to current business situations. Prior experience in a fast-paced environment where multitasking and organizational skills are required. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, as well as other Microsoft Office programs. Knowledge or interest in building knowledge of SQL and Salesforce preferred.
