The Procurement Specialist- Inside Sales is responsible for:
- Follow procurement strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, pricing, and quality.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order issuance.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that arise.
- Adhere to category management strategies to optimize procurement efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support planning and execution.
- Assist with logistics and materials management to ensure timely delivery of goods.
-Stay up to date with industry trends as it relates to customer requirements, opportunities and timelines
-Knowledge of electrical, instrumentation and measurement products are required
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate tracking of all products
- Conduct regular audits to reconcile physical inventory with system records
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality of products
- Prepare and process orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any inventory discrepancies or issues
- Utilize data collection tools to gather and analyze inventory data
- Generate reports and provide insights on inventory performance using Tableau and SQL
- Ability to create estimates and proposals for internal and external customers.
- Understand internal and external customer needs and requirements
- Team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals
- Work closely with clients to provide custom solutions to meet desired specifications for electrical automation and measurement applications
- Build long‐term partnerships with senior management for key customer accounts along with developing a complete understanding of organizational structures and key buying influences
- Strong communication and presentation skills required
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a procurement specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures.
- Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) is highly desirable.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on market trends and supplier capabilities.
- Proficient in using procurement software and systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Previous experience in inventory management or related field preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Proficient in using inventory management software/systems
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and perform physical tasks related to materials handling as needed
- Knowledge of retail management principles and practices is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Reporting Structure
The Procurement Specialist- Inside Sales shall report directly to the Procurement Manager.
