Job Summary
The Inventory Specialist oversees the procurement, storage, and distribution of granite slabs and related materials. This role requires maintaining accurate inventory records, forecasting demand, and collaborating with various departments to ensure the company's inventory needs are met. The ideal candidate has strong organizational and communication skills and experience in inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels of granite slabs and other materials.
- Procurement Coordination: Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of granite and other products.
- Stock Replenishment: Replenish stock as required based on forecasted demand and production schedules.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for quality and compliance with company standards.
- Warehouse Organization: Ensure efficient storage of granite materials to maximize space and maintain organization.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems or software.
- Data Analysis: Analyze inventory data to identify trends, improve accuracy, and reduce excess inventory.
- Cycle Counts and Audits: Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to identify discrepancies and reconcile records.
- Reporting: Generate inventory reports for management, highlighting key performance metrics and recommendations.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety standards in handling heavy granite slabs and ensure all warehouse staff follow safety protocols.
