ProAmpac is currently seeking a EHS Coordinator for the Rochester, NY Facility. Safety is our top priority and ProAmpac’s culture is one of people first! Job Responsibilities Include:
- Inspects the workplace and identifies and addresses potential safety hazards.
- Creates and delivers safety training programs educating employees on safe working practices, appropriate equipment operation, and emergency procedures.
- Ensures that training records, health/safety manuals or handbooks, incident/accident reports, or other documentation are appropriately maintained and makes recommendations for improvements.
- Prepares and submits accident reports in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Monitors known health, safety, or environmental hazards, such as noise, air, or wastewater pollution levels.
- Coordinate's inspection of facilities, vehicles, or equipment.
- May develop and communicate facility-specific emergency response or evacuation plans.
- Leads the safety training for all new employees and contractors.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred and 2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Solid working knowledge of safety standards and processes, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Teams and Outlook.
