What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector position at PROAMPAC?
ProAmpac is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Quality Inspector for the Rochester, NY facility. Safety is our top priority and ProAmpac's culture is one of people first! Some of the job responsibilities include:
- Understand and use quality assurance specifications, standard test procedures, blueprints/drawings, and other engineering specification
- Perform incoming inspections of materials and components
- Perform in-process quality control inspections and document results of tests/inspections
- Identify, segregate and label non-conforming product. Notify first/second shift and management of non-conforming product
- Maintain quality records as per documented procedures, including test data and retained samples. Communicate inspection findings with appropriate Quality, Production and Engineering personnel
- Assemble job books for production
- Perform quality inspections
- Associates degree preferred with a concentration in mathematics
- Two to five years' experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior quality experience in a similar role utilizing testing equipment, strongly preferred
