What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Supervisor position at PROBAR?
Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Department: Operations
Reports to: Procurement & Incoming Goods Manager
Non-Exempt
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with shipping and receiving, unloading and loading trucks
- Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
- Sort, Stage and Put away materials
- Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer
- Prepare parcel packages for shipping
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping racking locations, pallet areas, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust and mop. Wear the proper safety equipment
- Rotation of stock to ensure open space and FIFO bars are located at the bottom of the racks for easy picking
- Perform QC checks on incoming freight and make sure orders are complete and accurate
- Assist with housekeeping duties of warehouse including daily sweeping and area cleanup
- Receive small parcels from UPS and FedEx and accurately count and sign for packages
- Look for areas of improvement for safety, setup, process, work flow and QA/QC
- Inspect Forklifts before use and report any issues or safety concerns
- Ensure all received products are put away each day into specified areas
Qualification requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
- Good communication, organizational, time management mathematical skills
- Inventory, data entry and computer skills required
- Forklift Certified
Physical demands and abilities
- Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs occasionally team lift objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, kneel, crouch
