The Sponsor designs, develops, tests, integrates and deploys solutions for critical requirements. The current solution is at the end of life stage, therefore new solutions need to be developed and incorporated; new and innovative technologies utilized to successfully meet the user requirements. The goal of the Sponsor is to design and deliver an enterprise-level system with a modular, segmented architecture that can support both large scale and small scale solutions in order to meet the requirements across a broad range of applicable use cases. In order to support the technical requirements, the Sponsor requires Information Technology (IT) activities to achieve the goal of designing, developing, testing, integrating and deploying the solutions. The Systems Architect will design systems that utilize internet based network solutions that adhere to the Sponsor’s guidelines, design systems that enable internet access with managed Point of Presence (PoP), and develop and implement systems, sub systems, and associated network components that meet the Sponsor’s requirements, while allowing for future proofing through modular design. They will also provide designs for backup procedures, troubleshooting problems, provide solutions for resolution, and ensure that system development follows guidelines and industry best practices, design complete system of systems architecture and operations, and customize technical solutions to meet diverse and disparate requirements, and have the ability to detail those solutions in non-technical terms. The Architect will be expected to develop forward thinking solutions to ensure the lifecycle of the product is modular, readable, and maintainable; interact with other technical team members to come up to speed quickly on system, subsystems, and component specifications and make recommendations for changes to facilitate efficient and effective technical development; and enhance software functionality based on evolving needs and technology opportunities. They will deliver and document all software source code to include COTS and GOTS, provide software documentation to include version descriptions configuration file and scripts, and provide a list of known defects that were identified to exist in the software at time of delivery, and document the tools and processes used to build and install the software in the production environment. They will also design new programs and proofing the program to develop needed changes to assure production of a quality product, design and engineer a defense in depth approach to systems and subsystems with an assumed compromise approach to prevent loss in data, a compromised system, or loss of access, and interact with members of the technical team leads; to understand the current system, subsystems, and component specifications and be able to use experience to recommend changes to facilitate efficient and effective development.

1. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience with Linux operating systems such as Ubuntu and Debian.
2. (Mandatory) Demonstrable experience solving technical problems.
3. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience with working with network technologies.
4. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience with networking concepts and protocols to include LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, UDP, GRE, IPSec, VPN, WireGuard, Routing, and Software and Hardware Firewalls.
5. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience managing multiple complex technical projects simultaneously.
6. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience with tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Jira, and GitLab.
7. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience with Agile development methodologies.
8. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience with cloud environments.
9. (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience with programming languages, such as Python, Java Script, JSON, and Rust.

Salary : $148,000 - $187,000
