What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Attorney position at ProCare Rx?
SUMMARY
The Staff Attorney is responsible for contract drafting and review, oversight of filing federal and state licensure and reporting required for all business units, drafting correspondence and RFP review.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but not limited to):
- Draft, negotiate and revise technology and service related contracts for internal business clients including pharmacy provider agreements, NDAs, BAAs, client service agreements, confidentiality agreements, consulting agreements and letter agreements.
- Assist with regulatory compliance oversight of reporting within the company and other compliance issues, including HIPAA training, PHI event reporting, preparation of risk assessments and other related issues.
- Interaction with internal and external clients regarding regulatory and contractual compliance matters.
· Provide legal consultation to internal business clients and executive management team regarding government and healthcare related compliance issues
- Research, track and advise the executive management team regarding government and regulatory healthcare compliance issues
- Oversight of the drafting and tracking of pharmacy licensure for ProCare Pharmacy Care for all 50 states
- Oversight of the drafting and tracking of other required licensure and associated reporting such as PBM, DMPO and TPA licensure for all 50 states
- Review, analyze and draft RFP related contracts on behalf of the company
- Work independently on complex corporate matters before handing them off to the EVP of Legal Operations for approval or completion.
REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years of combined work experience in a large law firm or in a similar in-house position
- Proven ability to work independently on complex corporate matters
- Ability to draft contracts.
- Experience with healthcare law (HIPAA, etc.) a huge plus
- Law degree from an accredited law school required. Georgia Bar Membership is required.
