School Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher
Salary: $40 per hour
Type of Employment: Full-Time Contract
ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a School Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a full-time position contracted by ProCare Therapy and located in Jefferson City, MO. As a School Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher, you will be responsible for providing instructional support and services to students with hearing impairments.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with hearing impairments
- Provide direct instruction to students using specialized techniques and materials
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, other school personnel, and families to support student learning
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
- Participate in school and district-level meetings and professional development opportunities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education or related field
- Missouri certification in Deaf Education
- Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL)
- Experience working with students with hearing impairments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
