POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for taking a leadership role in promoting Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance on projects throughout the shops.
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:
Has the authority to stop and prevent unsafe actions, stop the use of unsafe equipment and tools, and stop work and/or have employees leave a work area.
Implement company safety policies and continuously monitor the workplace for hazardous safety and health conditions to maintain a safe work environment.
Have working experience with safety codes, OSHA.
Participate in an employee led safety committee.
Ensure all employees have the appropriate safety and health training relative to their position and project.
Participate in periodic pre-job safety meetings/walkdowns.
Conduct pre-job safety analysis, and daily ToolBox talks throughout projects.
Assess and improve engineering controls, ergonomics, administrative controls, and PPE on an on-going basis throughout projects.
Complete the investigation of incidents and accidents, identify the root cause, and ensure that all accident reports are recorded in a timely, complete, and accurate manner.
Provide written post job safety reports.
Participate in the development and implementation of processes, procedures, training, and programs for the field and shop operations.
Assist in periodic safety audits, inventory and data entry within all company office and shop locations.
All other duties as assigned.

Must be able to work well within a team environment and take instructions from management and co-workers.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently
Must possess the basic reading and math skills
Must have good written and verbal communicate skills.
Strong record of attendance reliability
Safety Oriented with the ability to work well within a team environment.
Must be capable of performing the essential job duties required of this job
Physical Demands include, but are not limited to:
Must be physically able to perform work assigned.
Must be physically capable of accessing all plant locations.
Access all areas within a site which could include heights, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs, and accessing tunnels.
Will be working at times in covered environment, in an outside environment.
The employee will be exposed to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Particles.
The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing and sitting.
Ability to consistently lift over 50 pounds as needed.

Pay: From $1.00 per hour
