We are looking for a well-rounded, self-driven team player to join our engineering team!

Our busy engineering consulting business has an opening for an experienced gas engineer with strong project management skills. The person selected for this position will have 3 years of experience with increasing responsibilities and be able to provide a wide range of technical support for various natural gas projects, from supporting pipeline projects through stages of planning, permitting, conceptual and detail design to construction. This is an exempt, salaried position based in our Plainville, MA office. Salary range is $100 -125k, commensurate with experience, skills and certification level.

This position's primary responsibilities include:

• Design pipelines, pressure regulating systems, control valves, meter runs and other industry related facilities.
• Prepare specifications and/or requisitions for material and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with codes, laws, and client and/or Company standards.
• Review and markup drawings.
• Provide technical expertise and support to operation and construction personnel.
• Develop conceptual plans, preliminary schedules, accurate cost estimates for proposed new facilities or modifications to existing facilities.
• Ensure accuracy of as-built information.

Required Skills/Knowledge

• Foundational understanding of natural gas systems.
• High level of knowledge and experience working with pipeline design codes and safety requirements.
• High energy multi-tasking individual who can work on multiple projects and with multiple teams in a collaborative manner.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work in a multidiscipline, fast-paced, team environment.
• Strong attention to detail, able to meet deadlines and solve problems, and a deep sense of accountability are essential.
• Technically competent with various software programs, such as MS Office Suite

Required Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Engineer in Training certificate or Professional Engineer license.
• Utility experience is a plus.
• GIS knowledge is a plus.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver's license required.
