HSE Advisor

On behalf of our client, Procom is seeking a HSE Advisor for a 12 month contract in Ingleside TX - onsite.


HSE Advisor Job Details

This position is responsible for providing technical and functional HSE support for the construction and commissioning of the West White Rose Platform Topsides in Ingleside, Texas. This role will support the project team and contractors in planning and conducting safe offshore operations. This position is responsible for ensuring the project meets the pre-determined KPI’s, is regulatory compliant and is completed in a safe and efficient manner.


HSE Advisor Responsibilities

• The individual in this position is responsible for providing technical and functional HSE support during the construction and commissioning of the West White Rose Platform Project. This position is construction site/field based.
• This position will conduct auditing and inspection activities that will help ensure that WWRP construction contractors are meeting operations integrity objectives and health, safety and environmental (HSE) performance goals. These goals and objectives will be aligned with the Cenovus Operations Integrity Management System (COIMS) and the Project’s Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) Standards.
• Conduct audits and inspections using the SafetyCulture verification tool.
• Conduct and/or review quality of incident investigations.
• Facilitate partnership for safety program where required.
• Audit performance of contractor’s safety management system
• Coach and mentor Cenovus and contractor reps in safety management and safe work practices.
• Participate in hazard and risk assessments.
  
  
  

HSE Advisor Mandatory Skills

• Training in the field of Health and Safety Certificate/Diploma or Degree would be considered an asset.
• Minimum of 2-3 years specific experience in a prior HSE role including direct responsibility for the administration of Health, Safety and Environment management programs for the construction, offshore or marine industry.
• The individual in this position will exhibit the following organizational competencies: Safely drives results, enables agility, communicates with impact, fosters collaboration.
• The individual is self-motivated to ensure the timely completion of project requirements.
• Ability to conduct audits and inspections, in addition to conducting and reviewing quality of incident investigations.
• Possess computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
