What are the responsibilities and job description for the Analytical Chemist Associate position at Procter & Gamble?
The Analytical Chemist Associate performs physical, chemical or bioanalytical characterization of finished product or raw material test samples. Associate applies various chemistry techniques and scientific methods to characterize test materials to enable P&G experimental objectives
Responsibilities:
- Responsible to perform routine, laboratory testing of Raw Materials, bulk product and Finish product following P&G Methods and USP
- Understanding of Laboratory Safe Practices, Chromatography and maintenance of laboratory equipment/systems
- Handling of chemicals and use of SDS as needed
- Review data vs. specifications following Data Integrity/Documentation practices Requirements
- Perform lab investigations as needed
- Perform basic troubleshooting of analytical methods and equipment
- Understanding of USP/NF, and other regulations
- Required to work 40hrs per week plus any required Overtime. Weekend work will be required based on business needs
Education:
Bachelors degree in Chemistry or related field
Experience:
- 2-3 years experience
