What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Inspector position at ProDims?
ProDims is accepting resumes for Civil Inspectors. The Inspector will provide construction field inspection services including monitoring daily activities, contract compliance, excavation, field testing, material placement, report field conditions and record items such as personnel on-site and construction activities. Other duties may include working with the Resident Engineer to ensure the project is built to the contract requirements. The Inspector should demonstrate experience documenting and inspecting day-to-day construction activities such that the construction is within work performed documents in a daily report that meets WSDOT specification and reflects the contractors progress in the field as outlined in the approved engineering plans.
Specific duties include:
- Prepare field notes, inspection, sampling, and testing reports. Track, compile, and monitor materials to approved material submittals, equipment, testing and commissioning activities. Ensure that problem areas have been resolved and monitor compliance.
- Submit daily written reports, and photographs to document construction activities, problems and corrective action taken. Ensure that problem areas have been resolved and monitor compliance.
Qualifications include:
- High school diploma / 5 years’ experience preferred experience with Port of Seattle, SDOT, King County Transit, federally funded public works project civil
- Preferred current Certification of Erosion/Sediment Control Lead (CESCL)
Verify traffic control plans are to approved plans and resolve field issues.
EIT, CCM, or undergraduate degree in construction management is preferred.
QA/QC of material testing to approved submittals for concrete, paving, compaction, and soil analysis.

Pay: $52.00 - $55.00 per hour
