The Role
We are looking for our first Director of Legal to drive commercial contracts, as well as partner with HR on employment matters. You will work across the sales organization to drive commercial contracts with customers ranging from mid-market to large enterprise. You will report to our COO and co-founder.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Sales and Business Development to manage and negotiate MSAs, DPAs and other SaaS-related customer agreements, technology and channel partner agreements, NDAs, independent consultant, vendor and supplier agreements
- Provide legal counsel and support to all functional teams with regard to contractual agreements, risk management, employment issues and data protection
- Develop and support process improvement plans to provide more efficient legal support
- Maintain intellectual property strategy to ensure Productiv is capturing and protecting important innovation and brand assets
- Support compliance, litigation and special projects
Requirements:
- Must be licensed to practice law
- Read, analyze, and interpret reports, and legal documents
- Experience responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
