PCSI is looking for a Loss Control Claims Administrator to join the Corporate Safety and Loss Control team. The Loss Control Claims Admin acts as the point of contact between employees, managers, and insurance carriers for workers' compensation claims and is responsible for managing claims in compliance with policy and state and federal regulations. This role is based at the corporate headquarters office in Austin, TX and reports to the Vice President of Safety and Loss Control.

  • Claims monitoring and administration, report generation, and communication with employees, managers, insurance carriers, medical personnel and lawyers.
  • Reports accidents resulting in injury, illness or property damage to insurance carrier.
  • Develop and manage Workers' Compensation Claim action plans for resolution.
  • Coordinate return-to-work efforts with the site Project Managers and prepare Bona Fide Offers of Employment in compliance with state requirements and PCSI policy.
  • Communicates with insurance carrier for active claim mitigation, and coordination with the employee and site locations.
  • Manages claims according to established procedures; plan documents and state and federal guidelines.
  • Point of contact between site managers, employees, and medical providers for Workers’ Compensation and other claim related matters.
  • Ensures compliance with policy / provisions according to state and federal regulations and exercises expense management through investigation, appropriate follow up, case management and claim settlements.
  • Present at BRC/CCH’s in Texas as employer representative for PCSI.
  • Assist with health and safety investigations and contact tracing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience is required.
  • Workers’ Compensation or All-Lines Adjuster license preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of Workers’ Compensation Claims Administration experience required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of Worker’s Compensation, General Liability, Auto and other lines of insurance experience is preferred.
  • Multi-Jurisdiction experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience working complex WC claims.
  • Ability to pass criminal, drug, financial, and driving screening.
  • May need to have the ability to legally drive a company vehicle.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Requires knowledge of PC functions and software.
  • Operational knowledge of windows applications, MS Word, MS Excel, etc., and related applications.
  • Self-starter with above average communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work in fast paced changing environment.
  • Ability to set and manage priorities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in written format.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position regularly, up to 85% of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. and carry office materials and supplies up to 20 pounds.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as calculator, phone, fax, copier, etc. and a personal computer.
  • Ability to exchange accurate information in person and over the phone.
  • Primarily works indoors.
  • Occasional travel may be required, up to 5%.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $33.50 per hour
