Job Posting for Business Development Specialist at Professional Engineering Consultants
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Seek business opportunities and develop client relationships that are in accordance with the corporate mission, core values and strategic plan.
- Meet frequently with existing and prospective clients to build relationships and identify potential project opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a strong business network.
- Coordinate with Division Managers and Team Leaders to understand the specific business development needs of the firm’s areas of practice.
- Represent a positive image of the firm and enhance the firm’s image through personal leadership, membership in community and professional organizations and participation in community service.
- Establish performance goals for business development activities.
- Track business development opportunities via client relationship management (CRM) application.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Engineering or a related discipline preferred.
- Three years of Business Development or Outside Sales experience. AEC industry experience is desirable.
- Basic understanding of AEC industry terminology and delivery methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM applications.
- Scheduling flexibility necessary with strong strategic, analytical, organizational and sales skills.
- Possess excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills.
- Ability to travel by personal vehicle with a demonstrated record of safe driving.
- Require minimal supervision and ability to work independently to achieve established performance goals.
