Summary: The Help Desk Support Technician will work as part of the team that handles all aspects of Professional Plastics computer, network and phone systems. Responding to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support, the Help Desk Support Technician will utilize existing IT processes and procedures to document, isolate, resolve and track problems to ensure timely resolution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: includes the following, as well as other duties that may be assigned.

• Maintains, analyzes, supports and repairs company computer/fax/phone systems, hardware and peripherals. 
• Assists IT team in management of company voice and cellular systems. 
• Provides end user training on company hardware, software and policy/procedure. 
• Under direction of IT Manager, updates or creates necessary documentation and/or procedures
• Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems related to Information Technology operations.
• Responds to telephone calls, email, ticketing system and personnel requests for technical support.
• Balances and prioritizes tasks as needed while maintaining a positive customer service attitude.
• Documents, tracks, and monitors all problems to ensure a timely resolution.
• Recommends and schedules repairs, via vendors or hands on.
• Installs and configures workstations based on company needs and requirements.
• Assists with data recovery/backup, using tape backup or recovery tools, rotate tapes daily.
• Responsibilities require on call rotation and sometimes working evenings and weekends, occasionally with little advanced notice.
• Performs other duties or special projects as requested related to area of responsibility.

Experience/Education: 

2 years experience preferred in a Help Desk Support role or equivalent experience. 

Associates degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
