The Charleroi Materials Specialist is responsible for all material receiving, packaging, shipping, kitting and general inventory control at Progeny Systems, Charleroi, PA.
The successful applicant is able to support production operations as well as engineering development efforts. Must be a quick learner, be adaptable to new processes and technologies in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receives, stores, packages, distributes, ships all materials, equipment and products within the Progeny Systems Charleroi operation.
- Fulfills work order kit requests and maintains inventory control of a variety of electronic and mechanical parts.
- Enters data and generates reports using Manex MRP tool.
- Performs shipping and receiving, unloading delivery trucks, packaging/unpacking operations.
- Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to warehouse location information.
- Routing materials to and from inspection station.
- Filing requisitions, work orders, and requests for materials.
- Marking and cataloging certain material such as hazardous chemicals or items with a shelf-life.
- Entering data into and generating reports from the MRP tool.
- Keeping the warehouse area safe, clean and organized.
- Work a Monday thru Friday day shift.
- Other warehouse related activities as assigned and various other duties as assigned.
