As a pricing analyst in Commercial Lines, you will have the opportunity to work with the #1 writer of commercial auto insurance in the United States as we expand into new lines of business. Using your strong quantitative and data manipulation skills, you will analyze large data sets, execute actuarial models, recommend appropriate price levels to state management, and interact with insurance regulators. Your input will help maintain Progressive’s winning position in the commercial auto marketplace while providing opportunities for you to continue to develop analytical, technical, and other professional skills. Remote work allowed. Must-have qualifications - Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field of study - Instead of a quantitative degree, a bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of 2 years of analytical work experience - Instead of a degree, a minimum of 3 years of analytical work experience Preferred skills - Ability to conduct ad-hoc analyses using data analysis tools - Demonstrated basic to intermediate programming skills in R, SAS, SQL, or Tableau a plus; including the ability to write/manipulate basic code - Ability to conduct formal statistical analyses (for example, weighted regression) using R or SAS as needed - including interpreting diagnostic information - Demonstrated intermediate skills in Excel. Knowledge of spreadsheet functionality including vlookup, pivot tables, charts and graphing - Excellent communication skills required - including visualization of quantitative information for non-technical audiences.
