What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Cloud Solution Architect position at Progressive Leasing?
You will serve as the primary technical resource to design and build cloud computing architecture upon which software and platform development teams can rely. You will be responsible for translating project-specific needs into cloud structure designs that are tailored to those needs, with careful consideration given to cloud resource usage, overall cost, and solution scalability. Expertise on and experience with virtualization technologies will enable you to recommend efficient server management strategies. You will also offer guidance and training to peers and junior team members on topics such as containerization, CI/CD strategies, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC). Once design decisions are made, you will lead deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and management tasks related to the implementation and ongoing operation of your solutions. You will work closely with every IT and IT-adjacent function within the enterprise, including (but not limited to): information security, networking, application development, infrastructure, change management, and quality engineering. Where necessary, you will work with other enterprise stakeholders to plan for and execute migrations of applications and services from legacy on-prem infrastructure to cloud environments.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 10 years of professional, hands-on experience in a combination of software engineering and solution architecture of complex or enterprise systems, Cloud Architecture patterns and specific experience with AWS and/or Azure
- 8 years of experience engineering delivery processes such as Scrum or Kanban
- 5 years of professional training experience
- Hands-on experience with modern development frameworks including Node.js, Python and .Net/C#
- Hands-on experience with modern front-end technologies including React, Angular, Express, Nginx, etc.
- Expertise with Kubernetes, serverless and cloud-native architectures
- Working knowledge of current topics in software architecture such as evolutionary architecture, autonomous domains, domain driven design, service-based architectures, service mesh, containerization, test automation, end-to-end testing, CI/CD, etc.
- The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in a multitude of technical disciplines, including agile development, business analysis, software engineering, database design, enterprise software architecture, technology leadership, and software quality assurance
