PRG is seeking a talented, experienced, and driven Construction Project Manager to join our team to lead cable and fiber construction projects. We are looking for an experienced cable/telco Construction Manager with a solid MDU construction background (cable/telephone company) and inside plant experience to identify pathways for FTTH build in existing MDUs in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with management and property managers to determine the best pathways for FTTH MDU buildout.
- Create basic field sketches and descriptions adequate for use by contractors or CAD drafters
Qualified candidates should also meet the following requirements:
- 3 years in structured cabling and inside plant construction. Candidates could come from a cable/telco, electrical, or, potentially, fire alarm background
- Experience managing contractors and coordinating multi-site construction projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a positive attitude
- The candidate must be well-organized, proactive, resourceful, flexible, able to communicate with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and perform with a high level of professionalism
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office programs.
- Candidate must have own vehicle in acceptable condition (to be determined by hiring manager) & a valid drivers license - mileage reimbursement will be paid at the standard Federal rate.
- Overtime may be required at times based on the volume of work.
Related Work Experience
- 3 years experience in construction roles with experience in process documentation, requirements gathering, product development, and project implementation
- Strategic, proactive, critical thinker; able to uncover weaknesses in policies and procedures and suggest areas of improvement
- Detail-oriented; ability to analyze business objectives and goals on an investigative level
