What You'll Be Doing:
Program Managers are responsible for managing contracts on assigned customer accounts from RFQ through the life cycle of the program. The Program Manager will serve as the primary liaison between the Customer and PUI to manage, coordinate, integrate, and provide day to day support to their respective accounts/programs to ensure customer commitments and company objectives are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Primary contact for assigned Customer portfolio.
- Coordinate communication and information between Customer and PUI internal departments.
- Receive and process requests for quotes (RFQs) or proposals (RFPs) for assigned customers.
- Review and validate completeness and accuracy of customers’ Technical Data Package (TDP) (drawings, specifications, notes list, etc.)
- Lead and manage effort to develop and deliver an accurate, profitable, and competitive quote on-time to the Customer.
- Review and understand cost, lead time estimates for material, manufacturing, and delivery.
- Finalize and submit approved quote to the Customer.
- Seek feedback from customers on quotes to improve future quote.
- Negotiate, request, and approve contracts, amendments, and contact extensions.
- Understand and communicate accurate customer forecasts to ensure OTD.
- Thoroughly understand the non-manufacturing workflow (i.e., RFQ, order entry, configuration management, invoicing, etc.)
- Advise internal departments of contractual obligations (i.e., procurement, planning, production, engineering, quality)
- Team with cross functional managers to conduct routine Customer reviews (i.e., scorecards, improvements, focus areas, constraints, etc.)
- Review and monitor gross margin actuals vs targets to ensure profitability.
- Oversee and manage NPI (new product integration) for assigned customers.
- Analyze, identify, and develop plans to mitigate risks to the program, Customer and PUI
Education:
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field required.
Skills/Qualifications/Experience:
- 3 years of customer/account management experience in a technical, engineering or manufacturing environment required.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem solving skills, required.
- Project management skills with an understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
- Must be able to carry themselves in a professional manner, possess self-awareness and take initiative.
- Must be able to interact effectively with peers, senior management and cross-functional areas.
- Intermediate proficiency with MS office applications, CRM, and Visual ERP manufacturing software.
- PMI or PMP training and certification preferred.
Work Environment:
Standard office environment.
Employees are required to wear safety equipment consisting of closed-toed shoes, safety glasses, heel straps, wrist straps, and electro-static discharge lab coats while on the production floor and are occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic/caustic chemicals, and minimal risk of electrical shock.
