Halo is the world’s leading third-party optical transceivers business serving customers from its supply facilities and sales offices in the USA, Europe and Asia.
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated candidate to join our Engineering team as a Production Support Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for Production support to include fault investigations, productivity improvements and trend analysis for all production issues. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the ongoing development and improvements of company products whilst having a keen eye for detail and an understanding of the pressures of working within a targeted sales environment.
This position will be based at our UK headquarters in Gloucestershire. The role will report to Senior Test & Application Engineer, based in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify issues that arise during production; categorise and then resolve them.
- Identify issues that arise during testing; categorise and then resolve them.
- Perform quality control and verification of cutting-edge technology orders.
- Analysis of issues resolved each month, and recommend tweaks to processes for increased productivity and quality.
- Engineering asset documentation and maintenance organization.
- Assist Production Support & Applications Engineer with research and testing of new products.
- Perform regular stock takes of Engineering inventory to ensure accuracy.
- Work with the warehouse team to identify supplier component changes.
- Identify missing PCNs and then catalogue in company database.
- Calibration scheduling to keep ISO:9001-2015 standards.
- Follow company process for failed materials to ensure root cause analysis is conducted.
