The salary range for this position is $24.09 - $27.53 DOE
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Preparing surgical charts and clearing patients for surgery
- Coordinating patient pre-surgical assessments ensuring all required documentation to include labs, cardiac clearances and anesthesia review are complete.
- Contacting patients for pre-surgical interview
- Other team related duties as necessary
- Chart all vital information in electronic record as well as check to be sure all information related to medication, health history and reason for visit is obtained and documented
- Perform phone pre-op calls and respond to voicemail messages upon receipt.
- Follow all other daily team duties and special tasks as assigned
Experience, Skills and Abilities
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program preferred, but not required. Will provide training
- Current Washington State Medical Assistant Certification preferred, but not required (see above)
- 1-2 years’ experience in a medical office a plus
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
- Familiarity with or working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records a plus
- Basic computer knowledge and skills, including data entry & Microsoft Office Suite
- Superior customer service skills
