Account Executive Responsibilities
- Develop and grow a designated territory
- Identifies strategic accounts by developing the ideal customer profile and researching accounts that match such profile
- Plans strategies for account and market management and development (i.e., Sales Plan). Prospects to identify potential opportunities and build the sales pipeline with opportunities.
- Spends time with current customers and prospective accounts in order to identify their material handling needs.
- Develops strong relationships with customers through timely, regular communications
- Stays abreast of account and market developments
- Penetrates assigned accounts’ organizational structure
- Communications and collaborates with other Account Executives and team members.
- Follows the sales and proposal development process to qualify opportunities, develop proposals and negotiate sales.
- Assists with conceptual system development and budgeting process
- Ensures all aspects of a project are properly conveyed to and understood by assigned internal resources.
- Provides professional proposals tailored to each opportunity.
- Negotiates and closes contracts.
- Maintains good customer relationships.
- Follows up on submitted proposals for the most up-to-date status. Maintains the status of all opportunities in the CRM database.
- Maintains all account, contact, and opportunity information in the CRM database
Account Executive Minimum Qualifications
- 3 years of business-to-business sales.
- Ability to use CRM database
- Desire to prospect and develop business within an assigned territory
Account Executive Preferred Qualifications
- Current relationships with decision-makers at companies that purchase material handling systems in high volume on a repeated basis
- Proven ability to develop and grow a territory
- Excellent oral & written communications.
- Effective in presenting capabilities, proposals, etc. to high-level executives
- Sales training and experience in business-to-business sales, including relationship building
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
