Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues. This is a vital role in our healthcare facility, as your expertise will contribute to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
Responsibilities:
- Operate CT scanners and other medical imaging equipment to capture high-quality images of patients' anatomy
- Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining the procedure, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort and safety
- Position patients correctly and apply immobilization devices as necessary to obtain optimal images
- Administer contrast agents orally or intravenously, when required, to enhance image quality
- Monitor patients during scans to ensure their well-being and respond to any adverse reactions or emergencies
- Evaluate images for quality, ensuring they meet diagnostic standards, and collaborate with radiologists or physicians as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
