Location: Omaha, NE
Start Date: 11/27
Contract Length: 8-16 weeks
RTO: can accept up to 2 weeks RTO
Hours: 36 or 48, guaranteed
Pay Packages:
- 48 hours: $3,190 weekly gross ($37.25 hr $55.88 hr OT $1,253 per diem)
- 36 hours: $2,445 weekly gross ($33.10 hr $49.65 hr OT $1,253 per diem)
Must haves: BLS, ACLS, NE or compact license, NIHSS, 2 years in level 1 or 2 trauma
Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs using telemetry equipment
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their condition and treatment plan
- Use aseptic technique when performing procedures such as wound care or IV insertion
- Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing
- Utilize knowledge of ICD-9 coding and medical terminology to accurately document patient information
Skills:
- Proficient in patient assessment and monitoring using telemetry equipment
- Knowledge of aseptic technique for infection prevention
- Experience in specimen collection processing for laboratory testing
- Familiarity with ICD-9 coding and medical terminology for accurate documentation
- Ability to provide care for toddlers, including monitoring growth and development
- Competence in airway management techniques for patients with respiratory distress
- Understanding of workers compensation laws and regulations
- Proficiency in acute pain management strategies
- Experience working with children in an acute care setting
