What are the responsibilities and job description for the NOE Coordinator Team Lead - Hospice position at ProMedica?
Responsible for daily entry of Notice of Election in the Medicare system of all Medicare admissions and VBID Medicare Patients to satisfy the Medicare NOE requirement of entry in 5 days.
Responsibilities:
1. Entry of pertinent information into Medicare or VBID system of each Medicare patient.
2. Gathers information from system for Hospice offices.
3. Answer questions offices have regarding NOE or Late NOEs.
4. Researches NOEs that are not accurate or missing information.
5. Works the Workflow to ensure all NOEs are complete.
6. Reviews and makes necessary corrections to be re-submitted.
7. Reviews all appropriate documentation with A/R Supervisor.
8. Communicates with Hospice agencies to obtain information required to complete entry in the 5-day window.
9. Communicates with Regional Director of Operations and General Managers as need to complete day-5 NOEs.
10. Provides support to the NOE Coordinators for the day to day activities.
11. Assists with training and support of new NOE Coordinators as needed.
12. Reports to Supervisor when steps of discipline may be needed to comply with policy and procedure.
13. Effectively allocates workload among staff to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
14. Does testing of NOE products to assist with work steps.
15. Attends and participates in scheduled in-service programs and staff meetings.
16. Maintains confidentiality of necessary information.
17. Utilizes supplies and equipment properly and without waste. *
18. Thinks and acts calmly and logically to meet unusual occurrences of the job without being thrown off stride. *
19. Meets all requirements of the NOE Coordinator Responsibility Checklists for daily, weekly & monthly processes.
20. Performs any miscellaneous work assignments as may be required. *

Job Requirements:
1. Education: High School plus additional specialized business courses equal to one to three years training in accounting or bookkeeping.
2. Experience: One to three years billing, accounting, or business experience with and third-party billing experience preferred.
3. Physical Demands: Work is primarily sedentary in nature with exerting up to lifting 10 lbs. of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Involves sitting, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering, talking, hearing, near visual acuity, and visual accommodation.
4. Travel: 10%
5. Working Conditions: Primarily inside in well-lighted, well-ventilated areas.
6. Principal Contacts: Home Health & Hospice personnel, third party payors, patients, families, corporate staff.
