What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Admin Coordinator - Pharmacy Services position at ProMedica?
The Pharmacy Administrative Coordinator supports non-clinical pharmacy activities related to benefit configuration, data analysis and reporting, formulary administration, delegation oversight, and regulatory compliance.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
*All duties listed below are essential unless noted otherwise*
- Serves as the liaison between the Marketing department and the pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) for pharmacy benefit configuration and ongoing maintenance
- Performs pharmacy data reporting and analysis using a variety of reporting tools
- Assists with formulary administration work including upkeep of electronic formulary tools and website formulary documents
- Performs regular delegation oversight of pharmacy vendors to ensure contract and regulatory requirements are being met
- Gathers and prepares documentation for regulatory compliance reviews including NCQA surveys and CMS audits
- Assists with Pharmacy Help Desk email research to resolve member issues related to the pharmacy benefit
- Maintains Pharmacy website documents and information in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications team
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, pharmacy administration, or healthcare administration or equivalent experience.
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills,
- Strong critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and is detail-oriented
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel
Years of Experience: Minimum of two years of applicable experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: MBA
Skills: Pharmacy or managed care experience.
Years of Experience: 4 years
