What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor - Zoorob UroGyn - Full Time position at ProMedica?
Responsible for supporting the department and staff in day-to-day operational activities within the practice. Facilitates a team effort in the delivery of superior patient experience. Supports a highly functional, engaged team.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provides oversight for scheduling and payroll functions of office staff according to patient and physician needs. Tracks physician vacation time. Maintains records of staff continuing education and certifications. Reviews and monitors overtime and ETO for employees.
- Participates in the interviewing, hiring, orientation, and training of new office staff.
- Works with the physician/manager in the development and implementation of department policies, systems and processes that promote quality and efficiency within the office.
- Utilizes knowledge of applicable billing and coding processes to monitor appropriate coding and utilization of services.
- Assist physician/manager in development and monitoring of budgets for the office. Responsible for ensuring that supply and staffing expenses are within budget. Works with physician/manager to assess needs for capital equipment and submits required forms justifying need. Works with physician/director to maintain practice overhead in accordance with the established budget.
- Monitors staff and environment to ensure regulatory compliance and compliance with organizational policies and procedures pertaining to quality of care, employee health, and safety and risk management. Ensures a safe and clean physical facility.
- Attends regularly scheduled meetings/seminars. Meets with manager and/or Corporate Services staff as needed. Conducts/assists with staff meetings on a regular basis.
- Answers and follows up on all patient concerns, complaints and comments concerning the practice.
- Ensures that employee performance reflects job standards and implements corrective action plan based on work issues. Prepares staff performance reviews in a timely manner. Holds staff accountable to performance and service standards.
- Supports clinical functions as able and directed by leadership.
- Work as Medical Assistant as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Skills:
- Excellent computer skills, including Word and Excel or similar software
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and direct both clinical and clerical staff.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Able to balance needs of the physicians/providers and the initiatives of the organization.
- Demonstrates and promotes a strong commitment to achieving customer satisfaction.
Years of Experience:
- with a minimum of two years of progressively responsible supervisory and administrative experience
Registration/Certification:
- Any License or certification if applicable to practice specialty.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Physical Demands:
- Must be able to move about the practice/department and between workstations.
- Must be able to understand directions (written and verbal), communicate and respond to inquires
- Must be able to occasionally lift or carry light equipment or supplies.
- Must be able to input and retrieve information from a computer.
