What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Staging Technician position at Prometheus Security Group Global?

The Systems Staging will be responsible for implementing and monitoring Manufacturing Engineering initiatives and various process improvement projects. Responsibilities include manufacturing, system staging as well as programming, troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance of IP-based access control, intrusion detection and video surveillance systems for high security applications. The individual will possess systems administration skills, network communications, and personal computer architecture and software experience. They will have strong organizational, troubleshooting and communication skills, be goal oriented, ambitious, accept empowerment within boundaries, and desire to work within cross functional team environments. Ability to present a professional image and commitment to customer service are essential. This individual will develop, evaluate, and design enhancements to existing tools and equipment used in Manufacturing by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication processes, assembly methods, tooling, materials, and production equipment capabilities.

This position leads manufacturing engineering initiatives for the daily support of products, processes, materials, and equipment to meet operations goals. In a fast-paced and dynamic environment, this position will be responsible for several processes on the manufacturing line, working cross-functionally with production, R&D, and project management teams to achieve goals, as well as update, improve, or add new manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

· Stage and configure video management systems, including server and workstation deployment, configuration, test, and audit.

· Implement automation in manufacturing process via scripting, imaging practices, etc.

· Evaluate manufacturing processes and make recommendations for improvements in efficiency and quality control.

· Perform electro-mechanical assembly and test of custom products produced by PSG.

· Create and update process-related documentation.

· Analyze production processes, schedules, methods, and data to produce statistics and better understand opportunities to improve manufacturing processes.

· Ensure the company’s manufacturing processes are in compliance with all government laws and regulations.

· Recommend and participate in the development of engineering changes as needed.

· Ensure compliance with system design documentation and document any deviations.

· Coordinate with vendors to resolve product technical issues.

· Perform a wide variety of tasks and change focus quickly as demands change.

Desired Qualifications and Credentials

· Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree in engineering discipline

· 5 years experience preferred in related field

· Working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards

· Computer networking and related control system software experience

· Proficient in Linux and command line tools for automation such as Ansible

· Proficient in scripting languages such as powershell, bash, etc.

· Proficient in imaging software and practices

· Security or Linux Sys Admin Certifications a plus

· Electro-mechanical assembly, low voltage wiring and testing experience

· Critical thinking, innovative ideas, and problem-solving skills

· Effective written and oral communication skills

· Must be a proponent of standardization

· Demonstrated planning and organizational skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
