Senior Accounting Specialist

Job brief 

PromoCentric is looking to hire an Experienced (5-10 years minimum) Finance Team Member responsible for Managing the company’s accounting transactions, Invoicing, Data Entry and General Accounting Functions. 

Responsibilities 

• Monitor and manage the firm’s accounts payable cycle and prepare weekly vendor payments 

• Accounts receivable invoicing 

• Make regular journal entries into financial software 

• Perform monthly account reconciliations 

• Maintain the month-end closing procedure and schedule 

• Attend, prepare and participate in Finance Team meetings  

• Collaborate with Controller to create internal controls and policies 

• Ensure accounting activities are accurate, timely, and in compliance with all generally accepted accounting principles. 

• Other tasks as needed

• Organized, advanced time management skills and attention to detail required 

• Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills 

• This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. 

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.  

• The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
