LOGISTICS MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Performs basic mechanic work functions that can include: troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on all types of equipment
• Repairs and troubleshoots engines such as: Cummins, Detroit Diesel, and MTU
• Diagnoses, repairs, adjusts, and modifies all heavy-duty components, hydraulic mechanical, and 12/24 volt systems
• Tests mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers specification
• Performs daily inspections of tools and equipment and equipment used
• Dismantles and reassembles heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools
• Ensures that safety standards are maintained in the course of performing duties
• Ensures the facility areas and work environment are free of hazardous objects and substances
• Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities
• Utilizes and drives company vehicles as needed
• Miscellaneous clerical duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have a valid Driver's license
• Must have own tools
• Has at least 1 year of basic oil & gas related mechanic experience which can include; maintenance on blenders, hydraulics, and diesel engines
• Additional education and certifications preferred
• Self-motivated, independent, and reliable with a strong work ethic
• Active listening, problem solving, and communication skills
• Can work a 12-hour shift on a 14/7 rotation
• Must be able to lift, bend, kneel, squat or lie down while working
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors with possible exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs
• Has the ability to work both indoors and outdoors with possible exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures.
• Employee could have exposure to distracting/uncomfortable noise levels

Qualifications

• DL8 software knowledge is required 
• Clean driving record is required 
• CDL is preferred 
• At least 6 months of experience with regular or diesel mechanic work 
• Basic computer and communication skills are required 
• Freightliner maintenance experience is preferred
• Must provide own tools, service trucks will be provided for on-site work 
• Available to work a 14/7 shift 
• Has a hard work mentality 
• Can climb ladders or onto Equipment
• Able to lift 50 LBS safely
• Able to lift 25 LBS over your head
• Can stand on your feet for extended time
• Able to sit for an extended period of time
• Able to squat and or bend over
• Works in extreme weather conditions
• Perform job duties during day and night shifts
• Perform job duties during the weekend
