What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manual Software Tester position at ProSearch?
Our client, a software development company providing dual-mode cellular and satellite communications powered by patented technology, is seeking to add a Manual Mobile Tester to their growing team. This Maine-based Direct Hire position can work a hybrid work schedule and will support their SaaS product hosted in the cloud throughout the software development lifecycle as they seek to add new features and scale their system to meet their rapidly growing business.
Due to our client's government contract; US Citizenship is a requirement.
In this position you will:
- Execute test cases utilizing a test case management system
- Identify system defects and log in defect management system
- Verify bug fixes
- Create test cases with traceability from requirements
- Maintain and review test cases to improve test coverage
- Analyze defects to create new test cases to improve test coverage
- Ensure the developed functionality meets requirements through testing and verification
- Provide recommendations to improve the system
- Provide troubleshooting of production outages and customer reported issues s
Experience:
- 4 years demonstrated experience working on software QA
- Ability to generate test cases from user stories and developer feedback
- Ability to perform exploratory testing without existing test cases
