We're hiring full-time Outdoor Security Officers for our client in Manhattan, NY!
Wage: $17.50/hr
Shift: Full-time, 4 PM - 12 AM, weekends a must
Responsibilities
- Patrol outside premises around building
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard and maintain security/safety of premises
- Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property
- Guard, patrol, and monitor premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of the rule
- Manage Access Control at a closed campus.
- Monitor/Operate/Dispatch response to various Security Systems
- Provide escort services for occupants of client property, as requested
- Answer questions, and provide information during business and non-business hours
- Respond to emergencies and investigate disturbances
- Monitor for irregular or unusual activity
- Secure facility and designated areas
- Enforce facility and company policies and procedures
- Investigate and prepare reports on incidents
- Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior
Qualifications
- Must have a NYS Security Officer license
- Must have 1 year of security guard
- May be exposed to high levels of noise or variations in weather and temperature
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods
- Flexible to work non-scheduled hours when needed
- Ability to think clearly during crisis or high-stress periods
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 18 years old or older
